Balaji bowls South to C.K. Nayudu Trophy

CUTTACK, JAN. 31. Mediumpacer L. Balaji's devastating spell of six for 57, including a hat-trick, helped South Zone clinch the C.K. Nayudu Trophy by virtue of its first innings lead over Central Zone.

South, which made 377 in its first innings, restricted Central to 176. Balaji was deadly and dismissed three batsmen for a duck.

lThe scores: South 377 and 313 (T. Suman 47, Deepak Chougule 38, Arjun Yadav 26, S. Binny 70, Md. Faiq 48, Surender Singh five for 53) vs Central 176 (S. Dholpure 31, R. Ali 44, A. Khan 35, L. Balaji six for 57). South declared winner on first innings lead.
