By Our Corporate Reporter

CHENNAI, JAN. 12. In order to capture a big chunk of the growing market for school uniforms in Tamil Nadu, especially in Chennai, S. Kumars, a leading Mumbai based textile group, has tied up with the Chennai based Sugan, a big seller of school uniforms.

Earlier Sugan was an authorised dealer for many years of Binny which was a dominant supplier of fabrics for school uniforms. According to Mr. Vijay Kumar Jain of Sugan, S. Kumars had more than 150 varieties of school uniforms and one of every three metres of uniform fabrics sold in India was from them.

S. Kumars Synfabs, a listed company (now known as S. Kumars Nationwide), has also initiated a new distribution strategy to market its products which involves three-tiered distribution network.
