Madhavan meets Kapil, gets more information

By Our Sports Reporter

NEW DELHI, JAN. 10. The BCCI-Commissioner, Mr. K. Madhavan, on Wednesday met Kapil Dev and expressed satisfaction over the meeting regarding the match-fixing issue. ``Kapil was very communicative and cooperative.

There was some additional information that I could gather, apart from what had come out of the CBI inquiries. I think the meeting has helped me get a better insight into things,'' Mr. Madhavan he said.

``I will be meeting other players too in the coming days. As for people like Mukesh Gupta, I can not force them to meet me, as there is no legal binding for the same,'' he added.

On a request from the former Indian captain, who wanted to avoid the media, Mr. Madhavan had kept the place and time of the meeting a secret.
