MTC to ply A/c buses from today

CHENNAI, JAN. 8. The Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) will ply high fare air-conditioned and low floor buses from Tuesday.

The AC bus will ply on route 21 G from High Court to Tambaram. The fares are, Second Fare Stage - Rs. 10, Sixth Fare Stage - Rs. 15, 11th Fare Stage - Rs. 20 and 12th Fare Stage and above 22 kms - Rs. 25.

From High Court to Chepauk, the fare is Rs. 10, up to Adyar Gate - Rs. 15, up to Meenambakkam - Rs. 20 and up to Tambaram - Rs. 25.

The fares from Tambaram are Chromepet - Rs. 10, Tirusoolam - Rs. 15, Mandaveli - Rs. 20 and High Court - Rs. 25.

One new bus will ply on each route, 21G Deluxe from High Court to Tambaram, 70 Deluxe from Avadi to Tambaram, 1B - Tiruvottriyur to Tambaram, 29E from Perambur to Tiruverkadu and PP19 Deluxe from High Court to Injambakkam, an MTC press release said.
