CPCL launches modified bitumen

CHENNAI, JAN. 4. Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL),
formerly Madras Refineries Limited, has commenced production of
modified bitumen. The product was launched at a function held
here on January 3.
Mr. S. Rammohan, chairman and managing director, said the company
had taken a lead role among the petroleum refineries in India to
start production of modified bitumen while other Indian
refineries were producing normal grade bitumen.
He said CPCL's endeavour was to supply cost effective and quality
product. The company was keen on improving its marketing presence
and had been working assiduously to periodically launch new
products, he said.
The function was inaugurated by Mr. T. Pitchandi, I.A.S.
(Secretary, Highways Department) Govt. of Tamil Nadu.
