Mongolian President arrives

NEW DELHI, JAN 2. The Mongolian President, Mr. Natsagiin Bagabandi, arrived here this evening from Bangalore on a state visit during which he will hold talks with the Prime Minister, Mr. Atal Behari Vajpayee and the External Affairs Minister, Mr. Jaswant Singh, on bilateral matters of regional and international interest.

Mr. Bagabandi, who arrived in Bangalore from Ulaanbaatar on Monday, was received at the airport here by the Minister of State for External Affairs, Mr. Ajit Panja. He will be given a ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhawan tomorrow.

The Vice President, Mr.Krishan Kant, and the Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairperson, Mrs. Najma Heptullah, will meet him in the afternoon.
