Online mutual fund plaza
MUMBAI: Icicidirect.com, an Internet broking site, has launched
its mutual fund plaza to enable online investment in MFs. The
plaza would initially offer schemes from Prudential ICICI Mutual
Fund and would later add offerings from other MFs, Ms. Madhabi
Puri Buch, chief executive officer of ICICI Web Trade, told
newsmen. The platform provided by netbroking plaza would make
investment in MFs a hassle-free and seamless experience, she
added. Daily web-based trading volumes on ICICI site were pegged
at Rs. 25-30 crores and 10,000 retail orders were transacted
every day, she said.
