Online mutual fund plaza

MUMBAI: Icicidirect.com, an Internet broking site, has launched its mutual fund plaza to enable online investment in MFs. The plaza would initially offer schemes from Prudential ICICI Mutual Fund and would later add offerings from other MFs, Ms. Madhabi Puri Buch, chief executive officer of ICICI Web Trade, told newsmen. The platform provided by netbroking plaza would make investment in MFs a hassle-free and seamless experience, she added. Daily web-based trading volumes on ICICI site were pegged at Rs. 25-30 crores and 10,000 retail orders were transacted every day, she said.
