Audio visual presentation
SOLFA CREATIONS, a non profit organisation that propagates and
promotes Carnatic music, has produced a CD-ROM, ``Tyagaraja - The
Evolution of a Musician Saint''. Scenes from the recently
released CD will be screened on a large screen during the
multimedia presentation that will take place tomorrow (December
16), at Rani Seethai Hall at 10.00 a.m. As the story of the saint
unfolds, Anuradha Sridhar (vocal and veena), Suguna
Purushothaman, Dr. Ganesh (vocal), R. Jayalakshmi (veena), R.
Ramesh (mridangam) and Shanthi Shriram (vocal support) will give
a live performance of Tyagaraja's compositions.
Hon'ble Justice S. Mohan, former judge, Supreme Court of India,
will preside, and Dr. P. V. Vaidhyanadhan, Vice Chancellor,
Annamalai University, will felicitate.
The team responsible for the CD comprises Anuradha Sridhar, story
and direction, Shriram Brahmanandam, technical production and
Sridhar Sundaram, script and narration. For tickets and details
