Case against Azhar, Jadeja
RAJKOT, DEC. 13. A criminal case has been registered by the
police against former Indian skipper Mohammad Azaharuddin and
batsman Ajay Jadeja for allegedly fixing the one-day cricket
match between India and South Africa here in 1996.
The commissioner of police, Mr. Sudhir Sinha, today said the case
for ``cheating and criminal conspiracy'' was registered on a
complaint lodged by a spectator, Mr. Sanjay Vyas, under two
separate Sections of the India Penal Code.
