J.H. Patel passes away


BANGALORE, DEC. 12. Senior Janata Dal (U) leader and the former Karnataka Chief Minister, J. H. Patel, died here in the early hours of today. He was 71.

Affectionately called `Jayanna' in family circles, Patel entered Lok Sabha in 1967 and created history by speaking in the House in Kannada.
