Solidarity protest
By Our Special Correspondent
NEW DELHI, DEC. 10. The Central Government employees all over the
country will stage a two-hour walkout and hold demonstrations for
two days from Tuesday to express solidarity with the agitating
postal employees. They will seek the Prime Minister, Mr Atal
Behari Vajpayee's intervention to seek a negotiated settlement on
the issue.
Meanwhile, the Confederation of Central Government Employees and
Workers has bemoaned that the Government had taken no steps to
settle their long pending demands.
``On the contrary, the Government is indulging in mis-
information by stating that most of the demands have been
settled, which is totally false,'' the Confederation Secretary-
General, Mr S.K. Vyas, said here today.
