Stalling of proceedings

Sir, - The Congress by indulging in confrontation and blocking the proceedings in both the Houses is trying to hide its own role in the Ayodhya issue only for political gains in U.P.

If two State Governments were faulted by the Supreme Court for not apprehending the forest brigand and even told to make room for someone else who would - the same yardstick should be applied to the Congress which was in power then.

It allowed the demolition of the national monument by abdicating its duty to prevent such a national disaster. In fact it abetted the whole sordid happening to gain political mileage.

By its abdication of authority, its inability and its wilful abetment in the conspiracy it stands primarily responsible for the national tragedy which caused `the nation to pay such a heavy price'.

The Congress thus has no moral or/and political right to demand the resignation of three Ministers of the Central Government.
