Nambiar meets Advani
NEW DELHI, DEC. 7. India's High Commissioner to Pakistan, Mr.
Satish Nambiar, called on the Home Minister, Mr. L.K. Advani,
here today and apprised him of Islamabad's response to the
ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir during Ramzan. Mr. Nambiar said it
was a general briefing.
On Pakistan's statement that it would exercise ``maximum
restraint'' on the LoC following India's announcement of
ceasefire, he said ``they have said so and let us take them for
their word''.
Mr. Nambiar had arrived here on Monday to brief the Government on
Pakistan's response.
