Pentasoft's products on rental basis
By Our Staff Reporter
CHENNAI, DEC. 4. Pentasoft Technologies has launched its products
through application service provider (ASP) model. It will enable
users across the globe to access and use Pentasoft's products on
a rental basis.
At a press conference here today, Mr. D. Kannan, Director and
Chief Executive Officer, said that the company would make
available all its products through ASP in banking and finance
services, insurance, logistics and supply chain management,
healthcare, hospitality services and technology solutions.
He said instead of paying huge sums to own the software, users
would only have to pay a small sum as rentals. Pentasoft would
provide easy-to-install kits which would benefit users with
minimum infrastructure as well.
Mr. G. V. Babu, Vice President, numtv.com said the numtv would
provide its billing and networking support to the ASP initiatives
of Pentasoft. Numtv.com's current network capability with its
existing 50 servers and 2.2 GB bandwidth could be a platform to
launch products for ASP developers.
Mr. V. Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Pentasoft said access to
products through ASP would also benefit Small Office Home Office
(SOHO) segments, enabling them to use the software and services
without any capital costs.
