SereNova to integrate Dell system
HYDERABAD: SeraNova Inc, which is in the process of being merged
with Silverline Technologies, has been chosen by Dell Computer
Corporation to assist in integrating their internal order
processing systems with enterprise customers procuring Dell
systems. According to a press release issued here on Friday,
SeraNova will provide the systems integration consulting and
development services necessary to link the customers internal
purchasing systems with Dell's own order processing systems. For
many of Dell's customers this will be the first step towards
electronic procurement, leading to efficient purchasing, shorter
cycle times and increased control, it said.

Daewoo Anchor to step up production
CHENNAI: Daewoo Electronics Korean headquarters has decided to
increase the capacity of their Ranjangaon (near Pune)
refrigerator manufacturing plant to 2.50 lakh units from one lakh
units per annum to meet the demands of the Indian refrigerator
market. Daewoo Anchor Electronics India (DAEL)is their fourth
largest export base and refrigerators made by DAEL are being
shipped to the west Asia, Africa and SAARC countries.

STG system for GAIL
CHENNAI: STG's software development division is developing a
company wide Intranet for GAIL which would manage the entire
documentation for billing and contracts and would interface with
their financial management system, material management system and
HR systems. The system would be the first step in taking GAIL
into paperless environment. Each employee would be able to track
their documents, bills - personal or official through the entire
cycle till payment is released. The system has state-of-the-art
Smart Card Security system for authentification purposes, says a
press release.

Cymbionic's expansion strategy
CHENNAI: Cymbionic Marketing Pvt. Ltd., engaged in multilevel
marketing (MLM), has tied up with reputed brands like Philips,
Shoppers Stop, Zenith, Esselworld, Tata Consultancy Services and
Royal Goan Beach Club)to boost its marketing and distributing
strength. The company made its impact in Mumbai, Bangalore,
Chennai, Pune and Goa and made a turnover of Rs. 20 crores within

CDC funding for Infozech Software
NEW DELHI: The U.K.-based Commonwealth Development Corporation
(CDC) has invested in the Delhi based Infozech Software Private
Limited, a telecom software company focussing on billing
solutions for the next generation telecom service providers.

U.S. FDA nod for Cheminor Drugs' ANDA
HYDERABAD: The United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA)
has approved the Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) filed by
Cheminor Drugs for Ranitidine hydrochloride capsules 150 mg and
300 mg. According to a press release, the USFDA also tentatively
approved the ANDA filed by Cheminor for Famotidine tablets USP,
20mg and 40 mg.

CHENNAI: Law concern gets ISO 9002: The Chennai-based advocates,
Vaidyanathan Associates is the first law concern in India to
receive ISO 9002 certification from ISO accreditation agency,
Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI), according to a
release.
