Virtually, a ready-reckoner

ON THE pavements of the wired world, there are thousands of offerings that are being given away almost free.

Calling out loud for the attention of the passer-by is meradin.com, with an offer to put everyone's lives in order. Barring anarchists, others would give thought to the calendar, which is a personal appointment scheduler, virtual folder, which shelves away large files for access from anywhere in the world, chat, messenger and WAP, on meradin.com.

Joining the list of homepage sites, meradin.com says it will help the user create his homepage through a friendly interface, and enable editing of the pages thereafter. Keep up with TV schedules, search train details and flag those major social events, filling in your virtual organiser with the dates, to be reminded appropriately.

The WAP enabling brings appointments, reminders and alerts that can be browsed from suitable mobile phones.

Productivity software is aggressively hawked in cyberbazaars, but meradin has some freebies in the form of pre-formatted legal and business letters. Select and customise it to requirements, or create your own, the portal says.

Sites which offer to remind you of important dates are many, even to the point of integrating it with browsers like Neoplanet. Now, you will never forget a birthday or anniversary.
