Ghei, Chiranjeev stumble
BANGKOK, OCT. 28. Gaurav Ghei's second successive par round was
not enough to keep him in contention while Chiranjeev Milkha
Singh's four over 76 saw him tumble out of sight on the
penultimate day of the Lexus International golf tournament at the
Windmill Park Country Club here on Saturday.
England's Simon Dyson rocketed to the top of the leaderboard with
round of 68 and shared the lead with South Africa's Nico Van
Rensburg with an aggregate of 12-under 204. Should Dyson win on
Sunday, it will be his third Tour title of the season.
Ghei, the first round leader, now finds himself at the joint 16th
place with a tally of 209. But it was defending champion
Chiranjeev whose 76 left him struggling at the joint 42nd spot.
Amritinder Singh (72, 68, 70) and Arjun Atwal (71, 71, 68) moved
up the leaderboard and were sharing the 19th place with a tally
of 210.
Jyoti Randhawa (70, 71, 72) was a stroke ahead of Chiranjeev at
213 in the joint 37th spot.
Amandeep Johl (71, 71, 75) and Digvijay Singh (71, 73, 74), the
remaining two Indians in the fray, were sharing the 57th and 59th
slots, respectively.
