PUNE, OCT. 14. In a gruesome incident, a 11-year-old boy was allegedly beaten up and then hanged to death by two teenagers here, police said today.

Mohit Mansukhani, a sixth standard student of Sardar Dastur school here, was enticed by the duo to a hillock on Friday on the pretext of playing treasure hunt.

There they beat him up, tied a leather belt around his neck and hanged him from a tree, police said. They then fled leaving him to die, they added.

The two were arrested and charged with kidnapping and murder, police said adding that the motive behind the incident was yet to be ascertained.
