Jail for boy in Staines case
BHUBANESWAR, OCT. 2. In the first conviction in the mob killing
of the Australian Missionary Graham Staines and his two sons, a
13-year- old boy was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment by a
special court here. The Special CBI Judge, Mr. Sukumar Sahu, on
Saturday found Chenchu guilty of killing Staines, 58, and his two
sons Philip, 10, and Timothy, 8, in January last year at
Manoharpur village of Keonjhar district in Orissa.
Chenchu, one of the 15 accused persons was tried separately
because of his juvenile status and would serve the sentence in a
juvenile home.
