Kanpur industrialist among Swiss copter victims
KANPUR, SEPT. 28. Kanpur industrialist Jagdish Gulati was among
the seven Indians killed in the mid-air collision of two
helicopters in Switzerland on Tuesday.
Mr. Kamal Gulati, the brother of the deceased, said that Jagdish,
treasurer of the Kanpur Industrialists Association, was on a
sight-seeing tour of the Alps when the tragedy occurred.
Jagdish's wife and two and a half-year-old daughter escaped death
as they stayed back in the hotel, he said, adding that his
brother's body would arrive here tomorrow.
Jagdish, along with his family, had gone to Germany to
participate in an exhibition of aluminium products.
From there, they went on a sight-seeing trip to Switzerland, Mr.
Kamal said.
The victims were part of a group of 140 Indians who were taking
five-minute aerial tours of the Alps.
