NIIT to source talent for Singapore

By Our Special Correspondent

BANGALORE, AUG. 26. The New-Delhi based IT training and services company, NIIT, has been retained by the Infocom Development Authority (IDA) of Singapore to bring in 1,000 qualified IT persons from NIIT's global training centres in China, India, Indonesia and Malaysia for employment to Singapore within a year. This is one of IDA's many efforts to help source high quality infocomm talents from overseas to assist companies' recruitment for their critical infocomm manpower needs

The growth in the demand for infocomm manpower in Singapore will average 10 per cent over the next two years and this translates to a need for 10,000 persons every year. By the year 2010, some 250,000 infocomm persons will be needed.
