Mousumi Paul shocks Saptaparni

VIJAYAWADA, AUG. 23 Rank outsider Mousumi Paul of Bengal stunned
fourth seeded Saptaparni Guha 21-16, 21-11, 21-18 in the junior
girls' semifinals of the National ranking table tennis
tournament, sponsored by Lanco Kondapalli Power Ltd., and Coca-
Cola, at the DRMC indoor stadium here on Wednesday.
Third-ranked Madhurika Patkar of Maharashtra ousted second seeded
S. Sangeetha 21-19, 21-18, 21-16 in the last four stage of the
sub-junior girls' category. On Tuesday, P. Nagender Reddy, D.
Saha, Arunava Ganguly, Somnath Ghosh, Jayanta Chandra, Kaustav
Banerjee, G. Vinod and Pranav Kuber made it to the main draw of
the men's competitions.
