Bail period extended for Laloo

By Our Special Correspondent

PATNA, AUG. 11. The Patna High Court today extended the provisional bail period of the RJD president, Mr. Laloo Prasad Yadav, by three months in connection with the disproportionate assets case.

The one-man bench of Mr. Justice S. S. Singh granted the extension under the same conditions and bail bond on which Mr. Yadav was released from jail in May last.

The court directed that Mr. Yadav would have to petition the court for an extension on November 16.

The CBI Designated Court had refused bail to Mr. Yadav and remanded him to judicial custody when he had surrendered in April last along with the Chief Minister, Mrs. Rabri Devi, co-accused in the case, who however was granted bail by the court.
