Youth held for demanding 'ransom' from CM
JAIPUR, AUG.11 A tribal youth was arrested at Banswada district
in Udaipur on charges of demanding Rs. 15 crores as `ransom' from
the State Chief Minister, Mr. Ashok Gehlot. The accused, Dilip
alias Bose, was produced before a court at Banswada today, which
remanded him to police custody till August 17.
The DGP , Mr. Amitabh Gupta, said a few days back the Chief
Minister's office had received a threatening letter demanding a
huge ransom by August 15, which was handed over to police for
further action. Police later laid a ruse and managed to arrest
the youth, he said. According to police souces, the arrested was
a ` crazy' person, who on interrogation told that he got
inspiration from crime movies.
