Bear kills two
RAIPUR, JULY 10. A bear killed two villagers and seriously
injured three others in Barnavapara sanctuary on Saturday
evening. Police said one of the victims died on the spot while
the other succumbed to his injuries at the medical college
hospital here last night.
The injured, admitted to the same hospital, were reported to be
critical. The forest department has announced an ex-gratia
assistance of Rs. 10,000 each to the kith and kin of those killed
and Rs. 2,000 each for the injured.
