Ayurveda handbook
AYURVEDIC PRACTICES - Home Remedies: Published by Sodhana Trust,
III Floor, Gowtam Towers, S.P. Road, Secunderabad-500003. Rs.
200.
THIS BOOK is an attempt to list the various home remedies
practised in India, based on Ayurvedic tradition of utilising
common fruits, vegetables and ``kitchen shelf'' condiments for
both serious and trivial problems.
Many of the listed remedies are innocuous, but some are
potentially dangerous, if used solely and without medical
approval, particularly in the treatment of serious illnesses such
as appendicitis, epilepsy and snake bite. A book that has nothing
substantial to offer.
