Curfew in Rajasthan town
JAIPUR, JULY 10. An indefinite curfew was clamped this evening in
Malpura township in Tonk district of Rajasthan in view of the
``tense situation'' following the killing of a youth, police
said.
The youth, Kailash Mali, an accused in the 1992 Malpura riot, was
attacked by four persons. He was admitted to a local hospital and
later referred to a hospital in Jaipur. However, he died on the
way. Soon after the incident, shopkeepers in Malpura downed their
shutters.
