Rain hits train services in Mumbai
MUMBAI, MAY 18. Heavy pre- monsoon showers since last night
affected normal life in the metropolis today, inundating low-
lying areas and throwing suburban train schedules haywire.
Reduced crowds on trains due to Buddha Poornima holiday proved
little solace for commuters as water-logging on the tracks at
some places hit the services.
Suburban trains on the Harbour, Central and Western lines were
running behind schedule, a railway spokesperson said.
