Sukh Ram removed from HVC post

SHIMLA, MAY 18. The breakaway group of Himachal Vikas Congress backed by the State Public Works Minister, Mr. Mohinder Singh, today removed the HVC supremo, Mr. Sukh Ram from the post of patron-in-chief and replaced him by Mr. Mohinder Singh.The decision was a sequel to the warning issued to Mr. Sukh Ram last week to clarify his reported anti-government statements and alleged hobnobbing with Congress or lose his post, the general secretary of the breakaway faction, Mr. Baldev Sharma, told reporters here.
