AN EXHIBITION of RSL's export leather goods is being held at Sri
Sankara Hall, TTK Road, Alwarpet. On display are jackets,
suitcases, travel bags, hand bags, purses, wallets and leather
accessories representative of the best in the country's leather
industry. Crafted out of cow, sheep and goat skin, the leather
goods measure up to the highest international standards in both
quality and style.
Couture shoes, boots and jackets in soft leather and suede are
the scene-stealers. Elegantly designed and contemporary in look,
the jackets, shoes and hand bags provide value for money. The
travelling bags in colourful checks and bright colours are
compelling attractions at the sale, which also has choice of
lovely ladies' hand bags and an array of attractive wallets and
purses. Accessories such as belts are also available in
attractive designs.
And for those looking for handcrafted leather artefacts there are
stuffed leather animals from Indore. Very life-like, the
giraffes, horses and other animals are popular export items, made
by craftspersons from Madhya Pradesh.
The exhibition will be on till May 31.
