U.P. Bill provisions being examined: PM
LUCKNOW, MAY 18. The Prime Minister, Mr. Atal Behari Vajpayee,
has told the rector of Nadwatul Ulema, one of the foremost seats
of Islamic learning, that the provisions of the Uttar Pradesh
Religious Buildings and Places Regulations Bill 2000, were still
being examined.
Maulana Mohammad Rabe Hasani said the Prime Minister had, in a
letter, assured him that his Government would not only follow the
principles of secularism but also work to strengthen them.
