What a shock!

"Have you got an extra sweater with you?" I asked my friend. I buttoned up my cardigan and pulled my muffler closer to my head. It was bitterly cold, foggy and windy. We were shivering, waiting for the local bus that took us to school.

The bus was late. We waited for what seemed like ages on a cold, wintery morning. Finally, we heard the rumble of a bus and we sighed in relief. But then, we noticed it was not our bus. We were really dismayed.

After a while, the bus came. We got in. It was damp inside the bus and we shivered all the more. It was empty except for a strange looking man. I was shivering because of the cold, and trembling at the sight of this stranger. He wore dark glasses, had a thick, bushy moustache and a French beard. He wore a dark full suit. I could not see his eyes, and a shiver ran up my spine when I saw him take off his glasses to rub his eyes, half expecting them to be of different colours, perhaps one blue and one green.

To our horror, we found that he was also getting out of the bus and walking into our school. Terrified that he could be a kidnapper or a thief, we ran to class, put down our bags and ran to the headmaster's room. You should have seen us running. We ran as if a hundred dogs were after us. Gasping and out of breath, we knocked on the principal's door.

A gruff voice told us to come in. We were surprised as this was not our principal's voice. There must be a new principal. Still, the matter had to be reported. So, we went in and it was then that we got the shock our lives. I almost collapsed as I was absolutely horrified. Our "kidnapper" was the new principal.
