Two held for attack on Uma Bharti

BHOPAL, MAY 2. Two youths, carrying sharp weapons, were arrested here on Monday night from near the spot, where the BJP leader and local MP, Ms. Uma Bharti, was sitting on a ``fast unto death'', police said today.

The youths, however, had ``no plans to attack her''.They were going to a slum near Vallabh Bhavan, where Ms. Bharti began her fast demanding withdrawal of the Government's order retrenching about 30,000 daily wage workers, the police said.
