By Our Special Correspondent

MUMBAI, APRIL 28. The Mumbai police have questioned several film stars and former cricket captain, Mohammed Azharuddin, in connection with the murder of a diamond merchant, Ashraf Patel, suspected to be involved in match-fixing.

Police sources said among the film stars interrogated so far are Shahrukh Khan, Sanjay Dutt and Sunil Shetty to know if the diamond merchant had feared any threat to his life.

Actresses Tabu and Farah are also expected to be questioned. Tabu had attended a condolence meeting at Ashraf Patel's residence.

Patel was fond of high-society contacts and would give expensive gifts to celebrities. He was seen in the company of Sanjay Dutt some hours before his death.
