VHP national secretary dead
PUNE, APRIL 2. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad's (VHP) national
secretary, Mr. Madhavrao Banahatti, died here today of cardiac
arrest. He was 80.
Mr. Banahatti, who hailed from Banahatti village in Karnataka,
was staying with his brother and was under treatment for heart
ailment.
A ``Pracharak'' since 1946, Mr. Banahatti, had worked for almost
30 years in Bengal and later for six years in Mauritius and the
African countries.
