Talks soon to resume IA flights to Nepal
NEW DELHI, APRIL, 1. India and Nepal today agreed to hold another
meeting soon to take a final decision on resumption of Indian
Airlines flights to Kathmandu, which were suspended following the
hijacking incident last December.
``Both delegations made good progress'' at the five- day
discussions in the Nepalese Capital and ``agreed to resume talks
soon at a mutually convenient venue,'' officials who participated
in the meeting told PTI from Kathmandu.
``All issues relating to resumption of flights were discussed.
However, there is need for some of the issues to be refined a
little bit more,'' the officials said.
They said the agreed minutes were signed this afternoon by the
leader of the three-member Indian team, Mr. Sunil Arora, who is a
joint secretary in the Civil Aviation Ministry, and his Nepalese
counterpart, Mr. Hari Bhakta Shrestha. The Indian team has since
left for Delhi from Kathamandu.
