Low sulphur petrol to cost more

NEW DELHI, APRIL, 1. The Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister, Mr. Ram Naik, today announced that the prices of ultra low sulphur petrol and diesel would be higher than conventional fuels.

Presiding over the inauguration of the piped gas supply by the Indraprastha Gas Limited here today, he said the ULSP would be costlier by 13 paise per litre against the conventional one, while the ULSD would be costlier by 52 paise. He said these fuels were launched to meet the norms prescribed for the Euro-II vechiles. From December this year, these fuels would be available across the country.
