Talks fail to end Rajasthan Govt. staff strike
JAIPUR, FEB. 5. Even as Rajasthan Government and employees'
leaders are trying to break the deadlock over the 53-day-old
strike by State Government staff, gazetted officers today
announced their decision to go on mass casual leave next week in
solidarity with the striking employees. Meanwhile, the second
round of talks between the employees' leaders and a four-member
committee of secretary level officers were on here today to
hammer out a solution to their demands for payment of bonus and
additional installment of dearness allowance. The Rajasthan State
Gazetted Officers Services' Confederation last night gave a call
to more than a lakh members to take mass casual leave on February
9.
